ABOUT

Hello! I’m Cole Byers, a visual artist based in Chino Hills, CA. With a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from UC San Diego, I am well-versed in traditional and digital mediums. Being from a heavily traditional background as an artist, I began my art journey as an oil painter, eventually bringing those skills into the digital medium.

Currently, I am working as a Visual and Performing Arts Instructional Coach at Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino Hills, California. Throughout the years, I have been given the opportunity to work on a myriad of different professional projects, illustrating for The Intermission Orchestra at UC San Diego’s concert promotional material, as well as illustrating for the children’s book “Skipper,” written by Donna Fields. Alongside this, I have designed and produced merchandise for Earl Warren College Residential Life at UC San Diego, including various shirts, stickers, decorative installations, and promotional posters.

I have extensive experience in costume prop making, from fantasy props to realistic props, as well. I currently work with a myriad of different filament and resin-based 3D-printers, but also hold experience in sculpting and electronic implementation for props.
